How to Install

PhoneBAK SE is an innovative lost & found anti-theft software program that sends the thief's contact number and other details to pre-defined mobile phone numbers when your mobilephone is stolen!

When stolen, PhoneBAK SE will send out 02 SMSes (local and/or overseas) using the thief's own SIM card to destined pre-configured contact numbers together with other important information to get the phonebak!

No subscriptions or annual fees.

How it Works..

SMS Notification
Install the software program into the Sony Ericsson mobilephone and the program works quietly checking for any unauthorized user.

If detected, 02 SMS will be sent out to the pre-defined (local and/or overseas) mobilephone numbers (e.g. spouse, colleague, I.T. dept).

SMS will contain the thief own mobilephone number, IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) and IMSI* (International Mobile Subscriber Identity).

Owner can contact the thief directly to retrieve back the stolen mobilephone or though the relevant authorities.

Customisable Message
Owner can personalise the SMS message to be sent to the pre-defined numbers.

Auto Start Up
PhoneBAK SE autoruns every time the mobilephone is powered up. Owner will just need to verify by entering the correct password.

Supported Languages
English.

Low Memory Resource
During the day-to-day usage of the phone PhoneBAK SE will not use any memory resource, and it will not even run in the background.

Program will only run once when mobilephone starts up and will turn off once password is verified.

Multi SIM Cards
Up to 100 SIM cards can be supported. Password protection to ensure no unauthorized access to program.

i. How do I know if PhoneBAK SE works?
When the finder enters the wrong password, PhoneBAK SE will silently send out the SMS to the pre-defined mobile phone number.

It is important to test out the pre-defined local number by simply interchanging with another SIM card first before actual use.

ii. How do I install the software?
There will be a step-by-step installation guide included.

iii. Are there any technical or local support?

iv. Can I use the same program for any other devices?
Each copy of PhoneBAK SE program is licensed to only 01 registered device. It is therefore non-transferable.

v. Who will recover the lost device?
As the device has been pre-configured with contact numbers, the receiver of the alert can contact the finder directly and make the necessary arrangement or can report to the police to be dealt with too.

vi. How would Antitheft.net.au deal with non-recoverable cases?
Refer to the police in the event when the finder does not want to return the phone. Save the SMS alert received as evidence of the theft.

Owners can also refer to Antitheft.net.au to help facilitate the return of the items by providing supporting documents for owners to report to police.

In the event, that there is no sms received to the pre-defined mobile number after the phone is lost, the device could have been lost and not found.
